Bucharest, May 28, 2021 - The Romanian Post National Company submitted to the Romanian Electronic Procurement System (SEAP) the public consultation procedure for the acquisition of technical assistance necessary for the digital transformation of the operational and administrative flows of the Romanian Post.

The international procedure is addressed to all companies in the technology industries and other relevant fields, in order to identify the best solutions for the digital transformation of the operational and administrative flows of the Romanian Post, to ensure customers and beneficiaries an easy and efficient administration in digital system.

In accordance with the provisions of Law 99/2016, the procedure will take place according to the following calendar:

- 28th of May– 11th of June - registration of all national and international companies that offer technical assistance services, by submitting Declarations of Intent to the e-mail address licitatii@posta-romana.ro;

- 14th of June, 12h00 - online conference on the digital transformation of the Romanian Post, by accessing the link https://cnpr.webex.com/meet / conferintacnpr1;

- 28th of June – 9th of July - individual online debates with the participants registered in the procedure;

- 21st of July - The Final Report of the public consultation will be submitted to SEAP;

Upon the completion of the public consultation, Posta Romana will carry out the compliant public procurement procedure, based on the revised specifications after the consultations, in order to select the admissible technical-economic offers.

On the one hand, the public consultation procedure has the purpose of knowing and analyzing the requirements and capacity of the specific market (consultants with expertise and experience in the specific field of Postal services - postal logistics, financial services, etc.) to provide technical assistance services, both as a perspective on the Romanian and international market (advanced countries in the field of digitization). On the other hand, the purpose of the public consultation is to formulate the necessary elements for a tender dossier specific to this type of technical assistance, from which to result the best offers in a transparent and competitive way.

Posta Romana contracted from the commercial banking market, from EximBank, a financing agreement worth 200 million lei, which provides the company with the necessary funds to start one of the largest investment programs in modernization and digitalization in the last 40 years. From this credit, an amount of 89,101,953.7 million LEI was allocated, for the moment, through the Multiannual Investment Plan for the implementation of the three digitization components (implementation of Integrated Information System, Management Information System (ERP), including DMS, equipment and communications).

Posta Romana in its quality of the contracting authority, makes available to the public all the information regarding the application of the awarding procedure and thus ensures the conditions for real competition, regardless of the nationality of the economic operators. In order to have a transparent and efficient communication with all interested economic operators, the company will allocate a special section, dedicated to this procedure, on the website www.posta-romana.ro.

With the digital transformation of business processes, correspondence, courier, financial services, etc., the Romanian Post will be able to strengthen and consolidate its position in the market and also to actively participate, as in its entire history, in the vast social transformations, similar to the ones of financial inclusion and digital literacy of the Romanian population in the rural and small urban area, to which, as a vehicle, the Romanian Post fully committed itself through its own transformation.
